He is just a really BIG Hillary supporter.  He travels to her events as much as he can.  He is a NY'er, I believe

It is, rather.  But give it time, she may need a little while to let things wind down.  And she may think she's running for VP now, who knows?  It must be a feeling outside of our experience to have been giving speech after speech to enthusiastic crowds and still have lost by a narrow margin.  I think her heart is in the right place.

she might be 'taking this to the convention', but it's really more important whether or not anyone will notice her doing so. apparently SD's wont return her calls anymore :sadface:, so the next step would be the papers and TV.

it's really just sad that she stretched out the hopes of her most deluded supporters this far as to what she was going to be able to do with her campaign and how she was going to get there.

ANd then behind this speech, she wants the veep?

There's still time for a big finish wrapping this all together. I'm really hoping for it. She's earned the right to talk about her accomplishments, but hopefully she ends her speech by bringing the party together.

That Denver chant is really ominous though.

A quick scan of your comments suggests she never had you to lose, so the rhetoric of her losing you seems a bit... well, dishonest.

I've been reading the opposite myself..."every vote is a prayer", "I see you" -- lots of subtle imagery.

Now the crowd is chanting "Denver!  Denver!"

When she says that, she implies that maybe they weren't.

Because they are special and different from the rest of us who have all voted for candidates who lost and had to deal with it.

I respect Clinton voters, to be sure. I probably would have been one myself if Obama wasn't from my home state.  But being on the losing side of a close political fight isn't some special, privileged position that noone else has ever been in.

Everyone else wants your candidate to shut up.

Which other candidate would be allowed to race bait this brazenly and repeatedly in an election? Other than any Republican, that is.

We're not trolling. The media isn't engaging in some sort of conspiracy against you or your candidate. As a result of an agreed-upon contest of qualified voters your candidate will not be president.

That isn't what she is saying.  She just meant what she said.. she isn't deciding tonight.  She is thanking staff, volunteers, etc...  She knows the primary campaign is over.  

Honestly. Ever since South Carolina I've been hoping that somewhere some bright young (wo)man who has been doing great things in New York steps up to the plate and shucks and jives HRC out of her senate seat.

I suspect that you might be correct.

It was ever thus.  The more things change the more they remain the same.  That's why he won and she didn't and I don't think she understands that.  Her supporters seem to want a strong, charismatic leader who they can elect and then turn their attention elsewhere, confident she is fighting for them.

Obama supporters want to be invited to join the process and continue to participate through the election and beyond.  That's the change we can believe in, 'cuz we're going to be around for it every step of the way.

It was a great speech, just not a concession speech.

Not exactly a 'unity' message but that was genuinely funny.

there's little interest here in healing.  A handful of Obama supporters have been gracious.  A handful.
